2010 San Francisco Giants World Series Championship Ring Presented to Monte Irvin from The Monte Irvin Collection. It had been fifty-six years--the Fall Classic made famous by Willie Mays' "Catch"--since the Giants had conquered the entirety of the Majors, and the franchise remembered one of the superstar members of that 1954 squad with the symbol of excellence presented here. It was the second great honor bestowed upon Irvin by the team in 2010, the first being the retirement of his jersey number "20" jersey in June. This ring is the top-quality "A" model format.
"World Champions" adorns the ring face in gold, circling a cluster of diamonds forming a team logo "SF." Note the two diamonds separating the words "World" and "Champions" on the face, one of the features distinguishing it from the "B" model ring. Left shank pictures the famous Golden Gate Bridge beneath the "2010" season of glory.
